SouthWestern Utilizes SoftCo Cloud to Expand Business

BPO specialist, SouthWestern has chosen SoftCo Cloud service for supporting its expansion plans across Europe. SouthWestern processes a minimum of four million documents every year for its array of customers across several verticals.
SouthWestern required a system that could offer continuous and protected access to its huge customer base across several fields. SouthWestern therefore decided to deploy a cloud-based offering which would also decrease internal management and operational expenses.
SouthWestern deployed SoftCo Cloud in 2009 along with Optical Character Recognition or OCR and Intelligent Character Recognition or ICR solutions. Clients of SouthWestern could therefore leverage the end-to-end, custom designed document management and data capture services for securing new projects.
In a statement, Peadar Murphy, head of IT at SouthWestern said, "With SoftCo Cloud, SoftCo offered a best-in-class service based on the SoftCo R8 platform that could deliver significant costs savings and efficiency improvements across our business. It has enabled us to pass on these benefits to our clients."
All customers of SouthWestern have specific needs. While some clients require recorded proof of delivery dockets and processed invoices, some needed to process and authenticate cattle birth and registration records. SouthWestern is able to fulfill the clients' requirements with the assistance of the sophisticated data capture offerings from SoftCo.
For its client Irish Cattle Breeding Federation, SouthWestern needs to process thousands of Health Notification and Cow Survey forms annually. Prior to SoftCo ICR for Forms offering, SouthWestern processed the forms manually. As compared to manually processing 39 forms each hour, the SoftCo offering allows SouthWestern to process 266 forms each hour, resulting in a 600 percent enhancement. The client is able to access the data easily as all the information from the forms along with the images of the forms are uploaded straight to the client’s system.
Robyn Sheehan, systems analyst at SouthWestern said, "We are dealing with large corporates who are used to a high level of reliability; they have no toleration for downtime. With SoftCo, we are confident we can offer the resiliency levels our customers demand."
